Part Time Nanny Jobs

PT BELLEVUE INFANT NANNY NEEDED (Developing into share ASAP!)
START DATE: ASAP, but flexible
WHO YOU’LL CARE FOR: Our happy little guy is lovingly known as “Ming Ming” by his grandparents and “Bub”, “Bubba”, “Baby”, “Chi” (Chinese for son), etc… by his newbie parents! He is calm & cautious (like dad), has the sweetest smile & laughter, gets very excited when he discovers he can do something new (ie. sitting on his own or army crawling to his toys), and loves to be outdoors (esp. in the backyard).
OUR FAMILY IS: We are a family of Michigan fans! My husband and I met in pharmacy school at the University of Michigan and lived in Ann Arbor, MI for 6 years before we came out to Seattle in 2012 for our first professional jobs. I was born and raised in San Jose, CA and my husband was born and raised in Boulder, CO. We are very close to our families and are so lucky to have my sister and her family nearby (Sammamish) – it’s like having a little piece of home.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for an experienced nanny to join our family! Our ideal candidate would be someone who loves children, kind, nurturing, very patient, strict but fair, and someone who would be genuinely excited to see our boy grow and thrive as if he were their own child/grandchild. We are currently interviewing families to create a nanny share.
OUR NANNY WILL BE: Our nanny will be experienced and reliable with at least 3-5 years of caring for a toddler and is CPR certified. Optional: Experience in early education/childhood development would be a wonderful plus. Additionally, we are predominantly English-speaking at home but would love for someone who is fluent in Chinese or Vietnamese (or any other language!) to help reinforce the development of a second language.
OUR HOUSEHOLD IS: Our household is laid-back and easy-going. We’ve learned through these early months that the most important thing is our son’s health & happiness, everything else is just the icing on top. We love to go to the park, spending time with his cousins, and having a backyard BBQ. We’d love to adopt a dog someday but are still several years from that point.
OUR CHILDCARE GOALS ARE: Our main childcare focus is to provide our son with an opportunity to grow and thrive. Although he enjoyed going to daycare and was excited to see his daycare friends & providers, he just couldn’t keep up with his caloric needs because of all the bugs/viruses that are typical of a daycare environment! Because of his frequent colds (over 10 this winter), has been gaining and losing the same 1-2 pounds and thus, not hitting all of his milestones. With your help, our son will be able to stay healthy and further his physical and mental development.
SCHEDULE: 32 hours a week (Monday-Thursday 8-4pm)
RATE: Nanny share: $12-15; Solo Nanny: $18-22
BENEFITS: Paid sick days, Healthcare stipend
REQUIREMENTS: Professional Nanny experience, CPR/FA certs, pristine background, Driver’s license and clean driving record, safe vehicle, 3 glowing childcare references, 21+ years old, no accompanying children.
APPLY: Email your resume and cover letter to diane@starlingagency.com

PT SHORELINE NANNY NEEDED FOR TODDLER BOY- Unique Schedule Opportunity!
START DATE: 8/3/2018
WHO YOU’LL CARE FOR: Our sweet and bright 2.5 year old son, who will charm you and challenge you with his quick wit, and utterly melt your heart with his cuddles and kindness.
OUR FAMILY IS: Two Midwest transplants that moved here to save sick babies and build airplanes; our Seattle-born son; and our three little pups. Although we are two full-time working parents, we are very family-oriented, and work hard to spend as much time with our son as possible. We’re lucky to have a naturally kind-hearted and happy child, and we are doing our best to make sure we are raising an empathetic and loving human.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR: A nurturing and kind person to join our family and provide the love and guidance our son needs in our absence. Beyond keeping our son safe and secure, we want someone who will sit and build with Legos, read books, play games, sing songs, do puzzles, create and imagine and do all the other things with our child that he loves. He is a delight and we are excited to find someone wonderful to share him with.
OUR NANNY WILL BE: Uniquely flexible in their availability. With one parent working very early mornings, and the other working 24 hour hospital shifts, our needs are very non-traditional. We’re looking for someone to work 9 hours (6:30 am – 3:30 pm) and/or 5 hours (4:30 am to 9:30 am) depending on the day. The number of shifts and days of the week vary, but average around 60 hours per month. Our setup is ideal for a grad student or someone with another part-time job as there is still a fair amount of down time while our son is sleeping, and we do not expect much in the way of additional job duties. We do have some flexibility in the days we will need, and schedule would be known for at least 3 months at a time.
OUR HOUSEHOLD IS: Welcoming and inclusive as we believe our differences are beautiful and should be celebrated. We have a busy lifestyle, and things can be a bit bonkers with a busy toddler and three fur babies. There are some days that it feels like “structured chaos,” but for the most part we are your average family, that enjoys a simple life.
OUR CHILDCARE GOALS ARE: Finding a special person that will complement our parenting style (positive parenting, respectful communication and creating a warm and nurturing environment), who we can welcome into our family, and who will enthusiastically support our little buddy through the highs and lows of navigating the toddler world. We hope to find someone looking for a long term commitment who loves what they do.
SCHEDULE: We need care from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm on the first day of my shift, and from 4:30 am until 9am on the following morning. Days will vary, but will be known three months in advance. On average we need 10-25 hours per week, and about 50-60 hours per month.
RATE: $20-22
BENEFITS: Paid sick days, paid federal holidays (when holiday falls on a scheduled work day), PTO
REQUIREMENTS: Professional Nanny experience, CPR/FA certs, pristine background, Driver’s license and clean driving record, safe vehicle, 3 glowing childcare references, 21+ years old, no accompanying children.

FT “NANAGER” NEEDED FOR GIRL TRIO IN WOODINVILLE
WHO YOU’LL CARE FOR: Our loving, caring and active girls, we’re going to have one in preschool, one in elementary school and one in middle school starting in Fall. We’ll need help with drop off/pick up, and help running the household.
OUR CHILDREN ARE: 3.5, 8, and 11- all girls!
START DATE: 7/9/2018- potentially a few days in the beginning of July for paid training.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR: A nanny to become an extension of our family. OUR FAMILY IS: Complete with 3 smart and energetic girls, you will never be bored spending time with us.
OUR HOUSEHOLD IS: We have a fun and busy household. Mom and dad manage and run a small event business, mom tends to travel about once a month so dad does a lot of the before/after school schedules and communication. We are looking for someone who can come in and truly feel like they are a part of the family. Next year we will have one in middle school, one in elementary school, and one in pre-school. While most of the time will be spent with the little one, summer will be a great time to get to know everyone as the girls will all be home when they are not at a camp. We love to play both outside and inside along with downtime mixed in. Our oldest is a fairly social 11-year old, she will be headed into her first year of middle school so with that comes some anxiety and social stress of that age. She has connected well in the past with a nanny who can be her mentor, someone who will talk with her, play soccer with her, or just hang out a bit. She likes people to be open with her and have age appropriate conversations with her. The middle one is a bit more introverted in a sense that she needs her independence and downtime to re energize her. She is a smart and athletic girl who also loves to hang out with her friends. OUR GOAL AS A CHILDCARE TEAM IS: Keeping our children safe and secure, while acting as a stable and reliable member of the family when the parents are gone. The family operates as a team and each person contributes their energy, time and opinions. Everyone is responsible to an appropriate degree.
SCHEDULE: 36 hours a week (M-TH 7:30-4:30) with some flexibility when parents are traveling for work.
SALARY: $20-25
BENEFITS: Federal paid holidays, PTO, Paid Sick Leave, Paid Holiday, Healthcare Stipend

FT TEMP NORTH BEACH NANNY FOR AN ALPHABET LOVER AND HIS BABY SISTER
WHO YOU’LL CARE FOR: Our son, who turns 2 this July, and our daughter, who will be 6-months old at the time of the start date.

Sometimes having two adults around is just easier than one, since the kids seem to thrive when they get more one-on-one attention. OUR FAMILY IS: Laid-back, loving, and adventurous. We’re doing our best to hold down the fort with two very young kids!

Providing as much individual attention as possible to promote their social and language development. Our son does have a speech delay that we’re currently working on, with a speech therapist involved. SALARY: $20-25 per hour
BENEFITS: Paid Labor Day, Healthcare Stipend
REQUIREMENTS: Professional Nanny experience, CPR/FA certs, pristine background, Driver’s license and clean driving record, safe vehicle, 3 glowing childcare references, 21+ years old, no accompanying children.

FT MT BAKER NANNY SHARE W/ BABY BEST FRIENDS (4 days/wk!)
WHO YOU’LL CARE FOR: A share care with two families in Mt. Baker. We are very close friends and are excited to find a nanny who will help our 9-week-old girl & 12-week-old boy grow together.
OUR CHILDREN ARE: Family 1: Our very loving and happy 9-week-old. She is quick to give us smiles, especially when we’re dancing and singing and she loves spending time outside. She is an independent little lady but also enjoys being engaged with other people and is finding her voice more and more every day. Family 2: Our boy is a happy, cuddly 12 week old who is learning to giggle and LOVES it. He is curious about everything and loves to show off his brute strength (he wants to stand so badly). He has a bit of FOMO, which means he is highly engaged, and we are constantly trying to keep up with his energy. He’s a fun one!
START DATE: 7/25/18, slightly sooner for the right fit!
WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Someone we consider an extension of the family. S/he will be a happy person, comfortable and experienced with babies, and excited to establish a relationship with our kiddo to help them learn and thrive. Somebody to love our kiddos and help us to support her while they grow. They will be the babies’ best friend for a while so we want to make sure we find a great fit!
OUR NANNY MUST BE: Excited to help our little ones grow and learn. S/he will be responsible and patient with the ever changing needs of babies. We are looking for someone who can help teach the little ones to be good people. This nanny will be experienced with multiples as this is a nanny share arrangement. Since both children are the first in their respective families, it will be important to ensure open communication with the parents and maintain flexibility in modifying routines as needed for each.
OUR FAMILIES ARE: Excited to be new parents. We are supportive of our little ones and want the best for them. We are open to various approaches and learn as we go. We hope to learn as much from our nanny as the kids do!
OUR HOUSEHOLDS ARE: Silly, active and fun. We know it “takes a village” to raise a little one and we think ours is pretty great.
OUR GOAL AS A CHILDCARE TEAM IS: to bring someone loving and supportive to help raise our kids. We want to trust this person like they are family as they will be caring for ours. We hope that this is someone who is passionate about what they do and could be with us for a while.
SCHEDULE: 40 hours a week (Monday through Thursday 8-6)
SALARY: $24/hr
BENEFITS: Federal paid holidays, PTO, Paid Sick Leave, Paid Holiday, Healthcare Stipend
OTHER: Taxes withheld, mileage reimbursement
REQUIREMENTS: Professional Nanny experience, CPR/FA certs, pristine background, Driver’s license and clean driving record, safe vehicle, 3 glowing childcare references, 21+ years old, no accompanying children.

MEDINA NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANGER NEEDED FOR PRETEEN SIBLINGS – MUST LOVE DOGS!
WHO YOU’LL CARE FOR: Our 11 year old son and 9 year old daughter.
OUR CHILDREN ARE: Our son is very easy going, funny, and overall a happy kid. He is a good student who aims to please, but does need some homework support and help “staying on task.” He has many (and good) friends, loves sports of all kinds — especially soccer, skiing, baseball, and golf — and loves video games (using ever second of his given screen time each day, without fail!). Our daughter is a happy, social, and extroverted child who loves reading, playing with dolls, games, and sports — especially soccer, skiing, and tennis. She is a great (and fast) hiker as well. She is a good student but also needs homework support and encouragement, particularly in math, where she lacks confidence.
START DATE: Mid-June
WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Someone with experience with and who truly understands and loves pre-teens, including the hilarity, insight, tender moments, and drama that comes along with them. Someone nurturing and calm, but structured, organized, and able to move the kids through the afternoon routine without losing track of time but with the judgment to throw caution to the wind every now and then. Someone willing to help run the house as well as manage the kids — meal plan, meal prep/cook, child laundry, miscellaneous tasks/errands. And someone with the self-confidence to recognize what needs to be done and just do it without waiting for the direct assignment.
OUR NANNY MUST BE: Calm, organized, independent, confident, nurturing, have a “can do” attitude, self-starter, good judgment, ability to “read” situations (and kids) well and adjust plans accordingly, flexible, enjoy pre-teens (the highs and the lows), open to supervise playdates, dog lover (we’ve got a large great dane!).
OUR FAMILY IS: Busy, active, and fun. We recreate in our free time — hiking, biking, golf, tennis, swimming, skiing — but value “down time” as well. Both mom and dad are attorneys in private practice in a downtown Seattle law firm who work steady and sometimes unpredictably long hours, but who love their jobs, and our kids.
OUR HOUSEHOLD IS: Busy but connected. We try to eat dinner together most nights, and update each other every day on our respective days.
OUR GOAL AS A CHILDCARE TEAM IS: To ensure the kids are supported after school with healthy snacks, homework assistance, planning for activities and projects; transported to various sporting activities; and encouraged to have a little fun along the way. Flexibility will be important, both in managing the kids and in willingness and ability to stay late once or twice a week (M-Th).
SCHEDULE: Monday Tuesday and Thursday 2:30-7:00pm, Wednesday 12:00-7:00pm, Friday 2:30-6:00pm
SALARY: $25+ per hour
BENEFITS: Federal paid holidays, 3 weeks PTO (that coincide with children’s school breaks), Paid Sick Leave
OTHER: Taxes withheld, mileage reimbursement
REQUIREMENTS: Professional Nanny experience, CPR/FA certs, pristine background, Driver’s license and clean driving record, safe vehicle, 3 glowing childcare references, 21+ years old, no accompanying children.
