FT/PT FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED IN MAGNOLIA – AUGUST START

OUR FAMILY: I have two amazing and spirited little women (5 and 8-years-old). They are strong-willed and loving, creative and goofy. They love to create elaborate “set-ups” for their current play (but aren’t always great at picking it up). They love to be outside in nature and moving their bodies. Their favorite activities usually involve dirt or water, and the fun combination of dirt AND water. Our eldest loves to read and both are art enthusiasts. We also have a lovely almost 10-year-old dog who is very much a family member.  We try to make home-cooked meals for dinner most nights, and reasonably healthy breakfast/lunch/snacks. Mom is a single physician looking for a partner to help run the home.

OUR HOME: We live in a great neighborhood in a little corner tucked away, walkable to Discovery Park. We have three bedrooms (each their own) and a playroom downstairs. No yard, but a nice outdoor space. Our large mixed-breed lab/shepherd is super sweet and loves the girls and our current long-term caregiver.

OUR GOALS: We are looking most importantly for someone who will help our daughters feel safe, secure, understood, and loved. Mom needs someone reliable who can help make sure she can do her job well knowing her kids are in the very best of hands.

OUR SONG: Our youngest would say “Bad Blood”, and our oldest would say something by Walk the Moon. Mom- “Float On” by Modest Mouse- always.

OUR FAMILY ASSISTANT: Will be a loved family member and teammate. #1 focus is on childcare: getting kids ready for school and picking them up, staying with them when they are sick, taking them to doctor’s visits if necessary, taking them to activities and playdates, etc. When they are in school during the day, we would like our dog walked and cared for, help with family laundry, grocery shopping, meal prep, and keeping the house organized/tidy (maintenance).

START: Mid to late August start date.

CHOOSE YOUR SCHEDULE: 40 guaranteed hours per week  -OR-  20 guaranteed hours per week. (Reliability and flexibility is required. The schedule will include a mix of early mornings and standard hours Monday through Friday. The schedule will be planned in advance).

RATE: $35-38 per hour DOE

BENEFITS: Guaranteed Hours, Sick Pay, all major Paid Federal Holidays, 2 weeks PTO (one week FA’s choice, one week family’s), $150 Healthcare Stipend.

REQUIREMENTS: Submit an application demonstrating a strong background in childcare and/or education with similar ages (min of 3 yrs professional experience). Applicants must also meet the following: pristine background and ability to pass a background check, safe driving record and vehicle, 3 glowing long-term (1+ years) employment references, current CPR/First Aid certs or willingness to renew before hire, enthusiasm and passion for working with children, authorization to work in the US, ability to commit to the stated timeline, safe and reliable vehicle, current on vaccinations. PART-TIME NANNY NEEDED IN VIEW RIDGE – PENDING

OUR FAMILY: Easy-going, loving, and big Huskie fans! Our kids are 3, 6, and 11. Our youngest son is an avid fan of trucks while our oldest is an aspiring Pokemon trainer. Our 3-year-old daughter enjoys the presence of others. Her favorite things are pink, purple, sparkle, and glitter. She can keep up with her brothers and is feisty! We have a wonderful morning caregiver who helps with getting everyone to school and cares for our daughter during the day.

OUR HOME: Full of kindness and laughter. Also, our home is filled with lots of activities, books, and toys.  Our friends would describe it as a “children’s play museum.”  Both parents have busy jobs outside of the home and are so grateful for our team of caregivers!

PT TEMP NANNY NEEDED IN WOODINVILLE  (JULY-DEC)

OUR FAMILY: We have three kids 5, 7, and 9-years-old with a baby due in November! Our kids love caregivers, big cousins, and any adult who expresses interest in them, including anyone in public who makes eye contact with them (“My mommy is having a baby!” to a stranger in an elevator). Our oldest loves to throw a baseball/football around and when there’s no one around he throws it to himself narrating the plays under his breath. He’s a kind big brother but doesn’t share a lot of interests with his siblings. The younger two are close and they play together a lot: they love to craft and color and play outside. Big Brother sometimes reads to them or organizes “feats of strength” games. Overall they’re really intelligent and creative kids. They’re always up to something! Our kids attend school full-time with after-school activities in the afternoons.

OUR HOME: Relaxing and kid-friendly. There’s a cardboard box house that’s been in the music room for months. It’s also very clean usually, especially in the kitchen. We make sure it’s full of stuff to do: art supplies, kits, games, paper.

OUR GOALS: To find someone our kids will love and want to spend time with and who will help them become more confident. Someone to help our family as a whole unit as we transition into adding a new family member in the Fall.

OUR SONG: The kids love one of the arias from the Magic Flute and they weave it into all of their little skits. They don’t even know the words. Our family also connects strongly with “It’s You I Like” by Mr. Rogers.

OUR NANNY: Someone who likes to play and who our kids can confide in. Someone who has good judgment about child development and safety and experience with multiple children and infants. Ideally someone looking to partner with us and build a strong relationship with our family. Someone rock-solid and reliable with good judgment and the ability to help our kids regulate their emotions. We would love to find someone open to traveling/overnights but this is not a deal-breaker. Minor meal prep, grocery shopping, and errand running when time allows. The job will be mostly child-focused. Bonus points if you want to throw a football/baseball around with our oldest!

START: ASAP

SCHEDULE: 20-25 hours guaranteed. M, T, W, F 2:30-5:30pm and Thursdays 2:30-9pm. Option to add 5 hours on a weekend day if desired.

RATE: $45/hr.

BENEFITS: Guaranteed Hours, Sick Pay, Paid Federal Holidays, PTO, Healthcare Stipend, and Family Vehicle Provided.

REQUIREMENTS: Submit an application demonstrating a strong background in childcare and/or education with similar ages (min of 3 yrs professional experience). Applicants must also meet the following: pristine background and ability to pass a background check, spotless driving record, 3 glowing long-term (1+ years) employment references, current CPR/First Aid certs or willingness to renew before hire, enthusiasm and passion for working with children, infant/multiples experience, authorization to work in the US, ability to commit to the stated timeline, safe and reliable vehicle, up to date vaccinations. No accompanying children permitted.
