FULL-TIME FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED IN ENATAI – ASAP START!
OUR FAMILY: We are a loving, energetic, kind, gentle, and patient family with two young boys, our wild-hearted dragon (almost four) and his small, gentle, yet fiercely brave tiger sidekick (almost three). Our boys attend preschool Monday through Friday until 3pm. They thrive with caregivers who genuinely enjoy engaging with children and delight in joining their world. They love open-ended play and benefit from an adult who can both follow their lead and gently guide, whether it’s playing at the park, splashing in the backyard water and sand pit, dancing to their favorite music, or slowing down to flip through books and excitedly call out animals and objects. Reading together is a daily joy in our home, and calm, expressive storytelling is something we deeply value. (They also love lollipops!)
OUR HOME: We live in a remodeled mid-century rambler in the peaceful Enatai neighborhood of Bellevue, just blocks from Surrey Downs Park. The spacious living room serves as the main play area, complemented by a large backyard that encourages daily outdoor activity. We keep a tidy, well-organized home and have daily housekeeping support during the day. Mom works remotely from home and values clear communication, trust, and mutual respect.
OUR GOALS: Our goal is to raise independent thinkers, open communicators, and imaginative creators. We are looking for a caregiver who can deeply engage with our children, with a strong focus on their communication, social-emotional development, and relationship with food. Cooking for our children is a core responsibility and a major priority for our family. We are seeking someone who truly enjoys cooking, knows a variety of kid-friendly and nutritious recipes, is interested in exploring new foods, and understands how to approach picky eating with patience, creativity, and calm. We value gentle guidance around meals and believe nutrition, routine, and emotional well-being are closely connected.
OUR SONG: “Misty Mountains Cold” – The Hobbit
OUR FAMILY ASSISTANT: We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and is passionate about their well-being. The right caregiver is gentle, patient, calm, and emotionally attuned, even in moments of conflict or big feelings. We value a caregiver who uses respectful, patient conflict resolution and models steady emotional regulation. You should feel comfortable chasing after two young children and engaging actively in their play. Driving is required, including daily preschool pickups, and a safe, confident driver is essential. While the children are in school, help with family meal prep and cooking, light errands, and home organization related to the kids would be immensely helpful. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term, multi-year role who values open communication with both children and parents. If you have interests such as music, outdoor activities, or arts and crafts, we would love for our kids to learn from you. A degree in Early Childhood Education or a strong education-based background is preferred but not required. Warmth, patience, and intentional caregiving matter most to us!

FULL-TIME NANNY NEEDED IN SOUTH KIRKLAND
OUR FAMILY: We are a family of four, about to be five! We love to cook (and eat!), play at home, garden, and read books. Dad loves to ski and mountain bike (and mom hopes to get back to these sports when she’s not pregnant). Our boys are 3-years-old and 5-years-old with a baby brother due in June. Our 5-year-old is learning to ski and loves it. We’re a busy and active family, we don’t have a TV and value in-person interaction. Both kids are energetic, funny and smart. They love arts and crafts, biking, going to the playground, and of course all vehicles; construction trucks, trains, airplanes, and above all…monster trucks. Both boys attend half-day preschool (our 5-year-old goes 5 days, 3-year-old goes 2) and our eldest will attend kindergarten starting in the Fall.
OUR HOME: We are starting a major remodel this year, and will move into a rental house before then in order to get settled before the baby comes. While we are still looking for a place, we know it will be somewhere near downtown Kirkland or northern Bellevue. While our physical residence is up-in-the-air, our “metaphorical home” is welcoming, accommodating, family-focused, values dinner table discussions and family meals.
OUR GOALS: Help mom get some sleep during the newborn phase. Encourage social and emotional development of kids. Occasionally help with newborn care if one or both older kids are out of the house. Role will shift to more baby-focused in the Fall.
OUR SONG: Our 5-year-old went through a “sea shanty” phase (yes, as in pirate songs)…he’s a character. We also love Chappell Roan, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, as well as classic rock bands like the Eagles, Rolling Stones, etc.
OUR NANNY: Will be honest, assertive, good at setting boundaries, comfortable with multiples and infants, reliable and a good communicator. Someone who is comfortable helping to de-escalate sibling squabbles and who can help with child-focused tidying- we encourage our sons to help with cleanup! During the summer, role will be focused on our elder two- pickup/drop off at summer camps, activities and occasional infant care to give mom breaks. We would love to have someone who is willing to travel with us on family trips (both locally and abroad), but this is not a deal breaker.
START DATE: ASAP through May 2026, flexible for the right fit.
SCHEDULE: 30-40 hours guaranteed, we are somewhat flexible hours. Core hours needed are M-F 8am-4pm.
HOURLY RATE: $36-40 per hour.

FT FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED IN PHINNEY RIDGE – APRIL START!
OUR FAMILY: Our family is laidback, kind, loving, and always a little chaotic (but in a fun way!). We prioritize kindness, empathy, and curiosity above all else. We live near our parents and sisters and like to spend a lot of time with our extended family. Our 8-year-old is a kind-hearted, exuberant kid. He’s chatty, curious, and loves sports and music. He has a lot of thoughts, ideas, and energy but always wants to do what is right, and thinks a lot about how to care for the people around him. Like most 8-year-old boys his passions are sports, Pokémon, and potty talk. His favorite person is his little brother who is our 5-year-old – an imaginative happy-go-lucky guy. He loves playing with cars and anything his brother is doing. That means he also likes sports, Pokémon, and potty talk, but he mostly just likes his big bro. Both boys are silly and we find them quite funny…not as funny as they find themselves but they make us laugh!
OUR HOME: We want our kids to be happy and good people, and our home reflects that. Our living room often becomes a makeshift obstacle course, soccer field, or stage. Although a clean home is always nice, a happy home is what we optimize for. Although our kids have nice spaces of their own, they mostly just sleep there, as we spend most of our time playing together on the main floor or playroom, typically covered in racetracks, marble runs, or forts. Both parents work from home in the basement out of the way but will check in if needed.
OUR GOALS: To raise happy, healthy, responsible kids. We want our kids to feel safe and happy with their caregiver while still learning responsibility and respect. We want them to have age-appropriate chores and do their homework but still prioritize being kids and having fun. We prioritize structure, routine and predictability for our family, which always helps us achieve this balance of fun and responsibility. We are looking for someone to support our family with that!
OUR SONG: It changes on any given week. Current songs include “Man I need” by Olivia Dean and anything from the Hamilton soundtrack. Taylor Swift is often on repeat!
OUR FAMILY ASSISTANT: Will be warm, loving, and have a good sense of humor. They will set clear boundaries (both with the boys and us!) and will be honest, open, and a true partner in helping our boys be the best versions of themselves! They will be reliable, and consistent, and help to bring some structure to our busy lives. They will genuinely like our kids, see what makes them special, and help to support them as they navigate the tricky, fun, scary, sad, exciting moments of growing up! Both kids are in school until 3pm, the role is household-focused (light errands, light family laundry, light grocery shopping, light meal prep/cooking, light organization, basic calendar management) during the morning/afternoon and will switch to school-pickup, driving to activities and child-focused care in the late afternoons.
START: April 2026, Flexible for the right person
SCHEDULE: 30-40 hours guaranteed with core hours falling between Monday-Friday, 12-6pm. We are flexible about household hours but need someone with the kids from 230-6pm daily.
RATE: $36-40 per hour.
BENEFITS: Family Vehicle Provided, Guaranteed Hours, Sick Pay, Paid Federal Holidays, PTO, Healthcare Stipend DOE.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: 3+ years of recent professional nanny/family assistant experience with children of similar ages.
- References: Stellar feedback from at least 3 previous long-term employers in a similar role.
- Background: Spotless criminal history and driving record.
- Safety: CPR & First Aid certified or willing to complete before hire.
- Commitment: Ability to commit to the family’s timeline.

FULL-TIME NANNY NEEDED IN RAINIER BEACH – PENDING
OUR FAMILY: Our family is loving, gentle, and kind at our core. We aim to create a cozy, supportive home where everyone feels safe being themselves, even when that includes moments of shyness, awkwardness, or big feelings. We have a playful side and a slightly silly sense of humor, with a shared appreciation for the absurd and the ability to laugh at ourselves. Our sons are 6 and 9-years-old, they attend school together and also enjoy extracurricular activities. Our six-year old is energetic, expressive, and vigorously creative, with a wide emotional and physical range- he loves doing art projects and jumps from activity to activity with enthusiasm and zest! Our 9-year-old is a kind spirit. He genuinely wants to do right by others and to feel like a contributing member of the community. He especially enjoys helping teachers or other authority figures, and once he gets started, he can be very capable and engaged.
OUR HOME: Our home is a lived-in, active space. We are hoping to find help setting up systems and getting everything organized. At the same time, it is very much a sanctuary for our family and a safe place to rest, play, and process feelings. We have a large backyard with cedar trees, bamboo, planter beds, and a grassy area for running and active play. In addition, we have a backyard studio with heat and air conditioning that we use for more involved creative work, such as candle making, clay and pottery projects, and weaving. Dad works from home but will be generally focused on work in a home office. He will be available for questions or help if needed though!
OUR GOALS: Our primary goal is for our children to feel genuinely seen, supported, and cared for by another trusted adult. We value a relationship built on consistency, warmth, and mutual respect. We are looking for someone who can support our children through daily tasks and rhythms such as homework time, music practice, and transitions, while also bringing fun, engaging activities and occasional new adventures into their days. An additional goal is support with core household fundamentals, helping keep things running smoothly so that we can be more present with our children and less overwhelmed by the accumulation of daily tasks.
OUR SONG: The Wallace & Gromit theme song.
OUR FAMILY ASSISTANT: Will be gentle and kind, with a steady, grounded presence. Our children attend a Waldorf school, and we are especially drawn to caregivers who feel aligned with Waldorf education or similar child-centered approaches. We value storytelling, artistic and hands-on work, and caregivers who are sensitive to big feelings, emotional development, and sensory needs.
We are seeking a Family Assistant who sees this role as relational and collaborative. Someone who takes initiative, communicates openly, and understands that care extends beyond supervision into connection, trust, and shared responsibility. Role will include following routine as outlined by parents, family errands, family laundry, age-appropriate activities, transportation from school, outings to parks, classes, playdates, grocery shopping, scheduling appointments, meal preparation, tidy common areas, calendar management and organization projects. Switching to childcare in the afternoon and help with homework etc.
