FULL-TIME NANNY NEEDED IN MATTHEWS BEACH – AUG START

OUR FAMILY: We are close-knit, loving, and fun! Care will be primarily for our youngest, who will be 7 months old when you start in late August or early September. He’s an affectionate baby who loves cuddles, one-on-one interaction, and his own hands. He’ll reward you with smiles and giggles. His personality is just beginning to emerge, but so far, he’s a happy baby as long as his basic needs are being met. You’ll also help out with his older brother, who will turn 5 in August. You’ll help get him ready in the morning for full-time pre-K. He has adapted well to becoming a big brother. His favorite toys are vehicles of all kinds, and while he is cautious when getting to know new people, he quickly becomes outgoing once you have his trust. He benefits from routine and consistent boundaries and is generally an easy-going kid. We don’t expect other regular direct caregiving for him after the morning, but it is possible you’d be caring for him on a school day off, etc. We will ask for help with non-direct care things for him on a regular basis (laundry, lunch prep, tidying spaces).

OUR HOME: We live on a quiet, dead-end street in northeast Seattle, and we’re fortunate to have several neighbors on our street who also have young children. There’s a park with a playground, beach access to Lake Washington, and green space just a short walk away. The neighborhood is calm, with plenty of safe streets (no sidewalks but people tend to drive slowly and respect pedestrians) and a trail for going on walks. We endeavor to keep our house neat and tidy (some days more successful than others), and our older son is gradually learning to be responsible for keeping his own spaces organized. Dad works from home remotely in an office, mom occasionally from home, and will pop in for one one-on-one baby time when time/schedule allows.

OUR GOALS: Our primary objective is to find loving care for our younger son until he is old enough to be enrolled in preschool himself. If possible, we’d like to find opportunities for the baby’s social development through interaction with other kids, to help him be well prepared for school when he is old enough.

We also need help with getting our older son ready for school in the morning. We are very fortunate to have him enrolled in an excellent pre-K program just a few minutes’ drive from our house. He loves his teacher and classmates, and it’s rarely a challenge to get him out the door to school. Most days, Mom or Dad will be able to drop him off at school, but we will need help with getting him fed, dressed, and ready to go. Occasionally, our nanny may need to drop him off at school in our car.

Consistent boundaries are key in our house, and we prioritize quality time with our kids and love to learn about them and listen to them as they develop into interesting people.

OUR SONG: Currently very 4.5-year-old driven– Azizam (Ed Sheeran) and Cool Kids (Echosmith).

OUR NANNY: First and foremost, we want to find someone who is reliable, communicative, and enjoys caring for infants. We are seeking a nanny who will be attuned to our children’s physical and social/emotional needs and treat them like the independent people they are. You’ll also need to be able to juggle the needs of both kids while getting the older one ready for school in the morning. In return, you’ll find that we are mostly easy-going parents. As long as our kids are happy and having their day-to-day needs met, we are happy too! We would love to find a caregiver who is flexible with scheduling, understands that physicians work long hours, and can help us fill in the gaps when needed- we appreciate this help!

START: 08-28-2025- we need someone to start by 9/2/25 at the latest. Some flexibility to start a week or two weeks earlier if desired!

RATE: $34-37 per hour.

BENEFITS: Family Vehicle Provided, Guaranteed Hours, Sick Pay, 8-10 Paid Federal Holidays, 2 Weeks PTO Your Choice, $200 Monthly Healthcare Stipend.

FULL-TIME NANNY NEEDED IN LAURELHURST – AUGUST START

OUR FAMILY: Our motto is safety first! We are kind, loving, and respectful. We thrive in routine and structure, but we try to laugh and have fun along the way. Our daughters will be turning 3 and 5 years old in August/September. They are creative, love using their imagination, and playful. They have rebranded themselves to Anna and Elsa, and we ‘let it go’ and leaned into playing Olaf and Sven at family dinners. Our almost five-year-old is wise beyond her years. She is a wonderful communicator of her opinions, feelings, and situational awareness. She loves exploring new places, experiences, and foods. She likes dancing, music, and reading. Her favorite color is “rainbow,” and she prides herself on being the best big sister. She will attend half-day pre-k 5 days per week in the Fall. Our almost three-year-old is a light! When she smiles, her entire body smiles, and her happiness is contagious. She loves building, demolishing, and building again. She likes to dance and sing and is very talkative. Her favorite color is “pink,” and she prides herself on keeping up with her big sister. She will attend preschool two mornings a week. Our ‘firstborn’ fur-baby is a hypoallergenic, smaller dog breed who enjoys long walks, food dropped on the floor by children, playing catch, and an occasional head scratch. He prides himself on protecting his sisters.

OUR HOME: Our home is welcoming, comfortable, and a place for memories. It is our safe space, art studio, laboratory, playground, bakery, tea room, movie theatre, office, and more. Mom works from home but in a separate working space.

OUR GOALS: Safety, creating a nurturing, respectful environment for our children to thrive and have fun!

OUR SONG: “Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” Daniel Tiger theme song.

Our house is generally the meeting place/party place for our friend groups. We enjoy traveling and camping as a family. We have a four-year-old son who attends part-time preschool and a sixteen-month-old brother. Our older son loves to tend to the vegetable garden with Mom and go “fishing” in our pond. He is cautious and likes to observe things before he dives in, but once he’s comfortable,. he’s all-in! He believes he is a “racecar” and zooms around the house and yard. FULL-TIME CERTIFIED NCS NEEDED IN NW BELLEVUE – NOV START

OUR FAMILY: A family of three: mom, dad, and a four-year-old daughter. We are both software engineers and like to solve puzzles and build things. We are always trying to get out of the house and explore new places. We love exploring family-friendly spots and especially playgrounds. People have described us as pretty clean and organized, though with a four-year-old around, you’ll often find toys around the house. We are usually fairly punctual, and also pretty good with communicating over text if we will be late or if something comes up. Our newborn baby girl is due at the beginning of November, and we cannot wait to meet her!

OUR HOME: In Northwest Bellevue. Soon we will be moving to a new house in Bridle Trails, with plenty of nature and a couple of playgrounds nearby. Since we are moving, we haven’t exactly figured out where the baby will be yet, but the new house will have plenty of room for you to work with the newborn, regardless of where you will be. We have a wide driveway as well as plenty of street parking, so parking will not be a problem. The house is less than a five-minute drive from the freeway entrance, near where I-405 and 520 meet.

OUR GOALS: For our newborn, we want her to be safe, cared for, and loved. For those first 12 weeks, our primary goal is for the baby and the rest of the family to get enough sleep and rest. We are happy to work together on habits during the day to help with the night sleep. Mom plans to breastfeed, but she has not yet decided on how exactly that will work with the NCS and would love to hear what the NCS finds works well for clients.

OUR SONG: It changes all the time! Lately, our 4-year-old has been requesting “Roar” by Katy Perry on repeat.

OUR NCS: An expert in newborn care, able to give us advice based on lots of experience with newborns regarding sleep, newborn care, and breastfeeding. Clear and confident in their recommendations, while also willing to tailor their approach to our specific needs and preferences. Available for the full twelve weeks, and consistent in their care. We are also hoping they will be a strong communicator, both via text and in person (phone call is also fine). They will have integrity and respect for others, and have a clean record with excellent referrals. Minimum 3 years experience with overnight newborn care, and able to provide 3 stellar feedback references from at least 3 previous employers in a similar role.

START: 11-05-2025 due date. We would like the NCS to start once we come home from the hospital.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours guaranteed, M-F, 10PM-6AM.

RATE: $50-60 per hour.

BENEFITS: Guaranteed Hours, Sick Pay, Paid Federal Holidays.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 3+ years of recent overnight newborn care and a Newborn Care Specialist certification.
  • References: Stellar feedback from at least 3 previous long-term employers in a similar role.
  • Background: Spotless criminal history and driving record.
  • Safety: CPR & First Aid certified or willing to complete before hire.
  • Commitment: Ability to commit to the family’s timeline.
  • Local: Residence in the Greater Seattle Area.
  • Driving: Safe and reliable personal vehicle required.
  • Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Communication: Prompt and professional communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm: Genuine love for children and families.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in dynamic family environments.
  • Discretion: Utmost confidentiality and respect for the privacy of families.
  • Vaccines: Vaccinations required for the role.
  • Other: No accompanying children permitted.

FULL-TIME NANNY NEEDED IN LAURELHURST – JULY START

OUR FAMILY: We’re a welcoming family and have really enjoyed seeing our daughter learn and grow. Our daughter is 2 years old and already knows her ABCs and loves to count! With a second daughter due in September, we’re excited to see how the two interact and look forward to helping them become friends who will be able to depend on each other. As a family, we try to be flexible to handle whatever comes our way. We have extended family spread out across the country which means we try to get in a few trips a year to visit. This means that our daughter has grown up traveling, sleeping in new places, meeting new people, and overall has developed a wonderful excitement for getting out and doing things. She currently attends part-time preschool two mornings a week. Your primary focus will be on the 2-year-old, but the plan is for you to occasionally swap to the newborn to allow for us to have 1:1 time with our eldest. Eventually, we’d expect to have the occasional case of you watching both at once.

OUR HOME: In a quiet part of the Laurelhurst neighborhood. We’re a short walk from a mini park; a 15-minute walk from the Horticulture center; and a 15-minute walk from the Laurelhurst play field (playground, community center, fields, etc.). In the summer, we like to go to the Laurelhurst beach club to play in the sand, jump in the waves, and take full advantage of what it has to offer. Our house is relatively organized and has multiple play areas to provide our daughter with her own dedicated play space as well as communal space in the center of the house. Parents work from home with separate offices upstairs.

OUR GOALS: To support our daughter’s growth physically, mentally, and emotionally. She’s learned new skills far faster than we expected and shows great pride and enjoyment in each new skill. We are about to begin experimenting with musical instruments as well as a 2nd language (likely Spanish). Ideally, you would be able to support those as well. Our primary goal is to support our learner and help her continue to develop across a broad spectrum of areas while continuing to have fun and simply enjoy life.

OUR SONG: Dance Around and Jump Around (Octopretzel) – she’s obsessed. She has also followed our lead in becoming a fan of ska and funk music.

OUR NANNY: Someone who is independent and excited to encourage our daughter to try new activities, develop in new ways, and foster her independence while keeping safety in mind. She’s a high-energy kid, so someone who’s able to physically keep up with her throughout the day (including stroller walks up occasional hills) while still enjoying the quiet moments when it’s time to settle in with a toy or book.

You’ll be a central player in our daughter’s growth and development. Someone she can have fun with, depend on, and learn from. You will look to engage her across areas whether it’s quietly reading books together, building with legos/blocks, acting out stories with stuffed animals, drawing, chasing her around the house, spending hours running around the playground, playing with other kids, or getting out to take advantage of all that Seattle has to offer. Someone proactive in coming up with new activities will find a fast friend in our daughter, who soaks up the engagement.

With a second daughter coming soon, you will be a partner with us for both girls and work alongside us to figure out what would be best for them as they develop. This includes general care, food prep, and cleanup after the kids etc. Someone who is flexible, thoughtful, and energetic enough to keep up with an always-happy and moving 2-year-old will do great with us!

START: 07-07-2025, Anytime in July and up to the first week in August are all available.

SCHEDULE: 35-40 hours guaranteed, we are flexible on scheduling! One proposed schedule would be M/W/F 8-6 and T/Th 1-6.

RATE: $36-38 per hour.

BENEFITS: Guaranteed Hours, Sick Pay, Paid Federal Holidays, 2 Weeks PTO Your Choice, Healthcare Stipend DOE.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 3+ years of recent professional nanny experience with children of similar ages and newborn care experience.
