FT TEMP FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED IN MAGNOLIA – AUGUST THROUGH DEC/JAN!
OUR FAMILY: We are a busy and active family. We try to make the most of our moments together and also take advantage of downtime when it happens. Our adventurous little kiddo is three-years-old and loves tackling all sorts of challenges from swimming, biking, hiking, paddle-boarding, and snowboarding. She’s loads of fun, and is regularly the comedian of the household. She loves to joke around and laugh, and will give you a run for your money as she’s always been a precocious talker. On the flip side, she loves her down-time and is also into puzzles, books, and painting.
OUR HOME: Our friends joke that our house is their favorite restaurant in Seattle…we do a lot of cooking, host a lot of parties, and make a lot of coffee! Home is also where we relax, sometimes work, and home base for lots of adventures. We have an older, very friendly, french bulldog who loves everyone especially if you provide belly rubs or cheese. She loves being wherever our daughter is.
OUR GOALS: Help our daughter continue to be a happy, healthy kid and keep learning and exploring! The next 5 months will be big as she goes through a nanny transition and starts half-day preschool 5x a week. Our childcare will be important to creating a warm and loving environment for that to happen.
OUR SONG: Depends on who you ask. We listen to anything from Method Man, The Rolling Stones, and the Beatles.
OUR FAMILY ASSISTANT: Someone who can hang with everything mentioned above! We’re looking for someone who has a lot of energy to keep up with our active 3-year-old. Our daughter does best when she has a relatively full slate of outings at playgrounds/parks. It’s great to have someone who can be proactive in thinking about activities for her (e.g., playground, play-dates, classes) and also how to provide art/learning activities at home. Someone who will encourage our daughter to try new foods and make healthy choices. The job will be primarily child-focused with light household organization, meal prep (mostly for our daughter) and child-laundry. We would love to find someone open to potentially traveling with us and occasional overnights.

We have a 1.5-year-old who is sweet, a bit shy at first, and endlessly curious. She enjoys exploring the outdoors – birdwatching, collecting cool sticks and rocks, and splashing in any puddle she can find. Inside, she loves books, make-believe adventures with her stuffed animals, and requesting her favorite songs on repeat- we hope you like singing…a lot!.
OUR HOME: Our home is spacious with several areas for our daughter to play and be active. She loves to spend time in the backyard, especially on nice days, chasing bubbles and playing with rocks (sensing a pattern?). Mom and Dad work from home part of the week in our home offices and we have a small, friendly dog that will be cared for by us during the day. We are available during the day for questions but will let you take the lead. There are nearby parks, playgrounds, a library, and a museum providing plenty of opportunities to explore.
OUR GOALS: Our priorities in childcare are trust, safety, and supporting our daughter’s development. We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of early childhood education who can foster growth in her social, emotional, and cognitive development through age-appropriate, engaging activities. Equally important is building a warm, caring bond. We value positive reinforcement and want our daughter to feel safe, supported, and confident. We are looking for someone who can help us with light household duties (meal prep/light cooking/kitchen cleanup and light household tidying) when time allows, but will make sure our daughter is the primary focus.
OUR SONG: It changes by the day! Today was Baby Shark.
OUR FAMILY ASSISTANT: Warm, organized, and reliable! The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development and is proactive about the needs of our family. We’re looking for someone who’s high-energy and not afraid to chase her around and get down on the floor to play. Additional qualities we desire are patience, an active imagination, and a genuine love for toddlers, all with safety in mind!

FT TEMP SUMMER NANNY NEEDED IN SHORELINE
OUR FAMILY: Our family is super laid back and we tend to go with the flow. Mom and Dad are truly best friends- we are carefree and super flexible! Our newly 3-year-old daughter is a cute, loving, and a thoughtful Tasmanian devil. She just has boundless energy and enjoys using her body to find joy and stimulation. She enjoys gymnastics, going to the skate park with her scooter, climbing the rock walls at the park, and running around the zoo like she owns the place. Besides physical activities she loves cooking (pasta or cookies), playing with magnatiles, playing pretend with her Peppa Pig toys, playing with her water table and tiny sandbox in our backyard, and using her doctor kit to give us checkups. She’s just a silly, wild child, but is so loving and has such a passion for life!
OUR HOME: We are easygoing and want our nanny to feel at home. We have a small chihuahua mix who had a rough childhood and can be a bit barky/territorial at first. She will always be with mom or dad though so there will be little to no interaction on a day-to-day basis.
OUR GOALS: Our goals are really just to tend to our daughter’s social-emotional learning. Interacting with kids at the park or at storytime is great. We are also working on potty training, but we aren’t pushing it and she gets excited to use the potty sometimes and sometimes she isn’t interested. We know she won’t be in diapers forever so we will definitely use summer to our advantage and let her run around naked and figure out the potty.
OUR SONG: The Mess Around, by Ray Charles
OUR NANNY: Our caregiver will be high energy, excited for an adventurous day, and will have positive energy to start the day. We hope our caregiver is really patient, kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and responsive to our daughter’s needs. We just want a person that our daughter will feel safe and comfortable with and not afraid of because of things like punishment or being ignored (time out). We also hope to find someone who is comfortable holding our daughter for naps/staying in the room with her.
