FULL-TIME NANNY NEEDED IN PORTAGE BAY NEIGHBORHOOD - AUGUST START!
OUR FAMILY: We are a close-knit family of four living in a house governed by two feline overlords. We are looking for a long-term partner to provide primary care for our youngest daughter, who will be 5-months- old when this role begins. Her older sister attends daycare full-time, so this role is entirely focused on primary care for the infant. We value a collaborative environment and want a caregiver to grow with our family.
OUR HOME: Our home is a sanctuary where we prioritize a nurturing, healthy living environment and pragmatic choices. Both parents work from home in dedicated offices, we are committed to giving you the space you need to establish your own rhythm, provide a warm and secure environment, and deeply bond with our daughter. We focus on fostering grit, curiosity, and independence from infancy onward. We believe in meeting the child where they are, while providing the structure they need to build resilience. We value a caregiver who can maintain a calm, steady, and nurturing presence. Healthy living and balanced meals are also very important to us. We place a strong emphasis on baby-led weaning and encouraging independent eating. While we do not expect the caregiver to handle family cooking, we ask for support in preparing her developmental meals and maintaining these healthy habits.
OUR GOALS: To provide a supportive environment that nurtures our daughter’s development during this crucial stage of first-year growth. We want her to feel capable and confident as she explores the world. We want a partner who is well-versed in infant developmental milestones, is excited to implement age-appropriate activities, and is comfortable safely navigating the introduction of solid foods through baby-led weaning.

OUR NANNY: Our ideal nanny is patient, playful, thoughtful, and highly organized. We are seeking a dedicated professional with strong nurturing instincts who will care for our daughter with warmth, attentiveness, and respect. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and naturally attentive to the small details that help a household run smoothly. Recent, extensive infant experience is essential, including familiarity with developmental milestones and baby sign language. We value clear, transparent communication and are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining organized infant spaces, including managing children's laundry, baby dishes and bottle sterilization, and toy organization and rotation. Occasionally, we would appreciate support caring for both our infant and toddler for pre-scheduled evening date nights, which would be arranged well in advance and compensated accordingly. Ultimately, we hope to find a calm, dependable partner who isn't afraid to be silly and is excited to help our daughter explore the world with curiosity and confidence.
START DATE: July-August (flexible for the right fit).
SCHEDULE: 40 hours, M-F 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
HOURLY RATE: $35 per hour.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 5+ years of recent professional nanny or family assistant experience with similar ages.
References: Stellar feedback from at least 3 previous long-term employers in a similar role.
Background: Spotless criminal history and identity verification.
Safety: CPR & First Aid certified or willing to complete before hire.
Commitment: Ability to commit to the family’s timeline.
Local: Residence in the Greater Seattle Area.
Payroll: Comfortable with W2 employment and payroll processing.
Driving: Valid driver’s license, safe and insured vehicle.
Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Communication: Prompt and professional communication skills.
Enthusiasm: Genuine love for children and families.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in dynamic family environments.
Discretion: Utmost confidentiality and respect for the privacy of families.
Vaccines: Vaccinations required for the role.
