What Is the Usual Hourly Rate for a Nanny?
This rate is contingent on the responsibilities you want your nanny to have, the number of children requiring care, and a nanny’s experience. Generally, a nanny’s hourly rate can vary from $15 to $30 per hour. Starling Agency is a reliable consultant, capable of suggesting a rate based on nanny experience and your family’s unique needs.
Should I Provide Benefits for My Nanny?
In order to maintain highly-qualified childcare, each family may consider a benefits package for their nanny. Generally, most full-time nannies receive 10 days paid vacation per year, paid major holidays, 3 paid sick-days, and mileage reimbursement. This is negotiated solely between you and your nanny.
What About Nanny Taxes and Social Security?
A nanny is recognized by the IRS as a household employee. Your nanny is not an independent contractor.
