Let’s kickstart this Seattle Mom’s Kids Book!
It’s no secret that Starling is a huge advocate of early literacy! We love sharing great books with kids; especially quirky and engaging titles. When we found out about local mom, Sara Crow, and her awesome Kickstarter campaign to self-publish a children’s book, we couldn’t wait to lend our support!
Sara Crow, Phinney Ridge mom of three little boys, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to publish her new book, “Even Superheroes Have to Sleep.”
Sara wrote the book after struggling to get her boys out of their superhero costumes and in to bed one night. The rhyming story is designed for children ages 1-6 and stars characters such as a scientist, superhero, princess, doctor and pirate. The book is illustrated by Adam Record.
She’s hoping to raise enough money to self-publish the book by August. The Kickstarter campaign ends on May 3.
Sara’s Bio: Born and raised in Helena, Montana, I have lived all over the country – from Florida to San Francisco and now Seattle. I love change and new adventures. After working in advertising and public relations I decided to take on my most extreme adventure yet and am staying home with the kids. With three sons four years old and under, I am constantly on my toes. I love trying new restaurants, watching football and “sipping” on a good chardonnay.
